Rob Fallon writes : I still check your site everyday even though I
now live in the USA and you guys still rock! This is a report of my latest bike
that was given to me.
I rode for Fit-For back in England with plans to go to Belgium in 2006. Certain
circumstances changed my direction and I decided instead to head over the pond
to Arizona with my parents, not a bad decision seen as its 90 to 110 degrees
most of the year.
I was to meet a guy named Phil Vilardi, an quality Italian guy with one of those
American accents who has a passion for bicycles. He had started his own bicycle
company called Corsa Bicycle and formed a team with a company called Ace Asphalt
(people who lay roads, a convenient partnership), which he asked me to ride
for. After a great start, I got ill and have been ever since.
The quality Italian chap has stood by me though because he can see light at
the end of the tunnel, and he supplied me with a 2007 team issue bike.
Ive ridden Pinarellos, Looks, Bianchis and others, and without a doubt this
bike is one of the best I've ridden so far. It has little to go wrong, is super
solid, light, and looks beautiful!, And so I thought I'd share it with you Londoners'.
Bike spec -
Frame Team issue - Main tubes are oversized ULA aluminum 7000 series aluminum
in the seat tube and chain stays, and a high modulus carbon seat stay
Forks Look HSC 4SL (had it for years, wouldn't swap it for any other)
Handlebars/stem ITM Millennium aluminum wing bars and stem
Seat pin Sette 7
Saddle Selle Italia SLR XP
Chainset 2007 Campagnolo Centaur with Record Chain
Pedals - Look Cx6
Wheels/hubs Mavic Cosmic (wouldn't swap for the world)
Brakes - 2007 Campagnolo Centaur
My best moment on this bike was receiving it, and not handing back any
money
I would swap it for? the 2008 team bike when it arrives
I supplied the wheels fork and handle bars because I've grown up with these
guys and love them.
I had never ridden Campagnolo before, but now I have, I think I may just stay
put! The group has a funky see through crank because its one piece and super
solid, so hopefully I won't bend it like I did with Dura Ace, and Campagnolo
comes with Skeleton brakes, a nice touch!
Centaur although not the top of the Campagnolo range is still extremely solid
whilst being light and remaining stylish!
