Fresh on the heels of winning three gold medals at the World Track Championships
in Mallorca, Victoria Pendleton will make a guest appearance at the Good Friday
International Track meeting on April 6.
Although not competing she will do a lap of honour and will be present to hand
out the prizes during the day. The huge Easter crowd should raise the roof for
her (despite it being an open veledrome) and Bradley Wiggins. Wiggins will feature in the 10 minutes pursuit and heads the
entry.
At the World Championships Pendleton won three gold medals from three events
with the GB squad coming top of the medal table.
- The traditional Good Friday Meeting will be held at South Londons Herne
Hill Velodrome on April 6.
- First promoted in 1903, this Southern Counties Cycling Union event is set
to continue in the manner which has become its hallmark - exciting, entertaining
racing featuring top class riders from home and abroad.
