Summer in Park 2008

Team Darenth cycle club is once again holding it’s now annual youth cycle racing in Dartford Centre Park every Friday evening. The series run for 9 weeks from Friday 2nd May and ends on the 27th June. After the very successful Grand Depart of the Tour de France last year, this came through Dartford. The local council has once again encouraged Team Darenth by letting them again have use of the park. With over 30 riders each night last year competing in the three categories the under 8s, 10s and 12s. Racing is always very fast and fun. .

So why not pack a picnic and come on down to Dart ford Central Park to watch the racing. Or if you fancy having a go you need a bike in full working order (must have two brakes), a helmet and a parent to sign the consent form then your away. Team Darenth meet every Saturday at Wilmington Enterprise Collage, Common Lane Dartford from10am where groups go off and do many fun things, like skill in the playground for the youngest to rides around the School site and for thoughts that have proven their ability go off site for long rides off or on road. All under the carful supervision of trained staff and helpers. Most of which are parents. Team Darenth also will be celebrating its 10th year in September.
