The aim of the series is to provide a bridge between the existing extensive
League based programme of racing and national level Elite and Premier Calendar
racing for riders within the South East Region and to provide regular racing
in the region at this level through the season.
Last year the series was won by Rob Hurd (Chocolatier Isabelle) based on consistent
performances during the year and included several top scoring places in the
Series.
The Series, now in its 5th year, is continuing to gain enthusiastic
support and provide a focus for riders throughout the season, with the top overall
places being contested through to the very last race of the year.
The Sigma Sport South East Series consists of 9 single day races based on events
throughout the season from March to September. Each event will maintain its
own independent prize list whilst the Series is based on an overall point’s
table. The Sigma Sport South East Series for 2007 is made up of the following
events (subject to final confirmation):

Round 9 September, 23rd Surrey League/Sigma Sport – Ewhurst, Surrey.
Note
Due to the rapidly increasing popularity of the Series there are some changes
regarding eligibility of riders. The Series will now be open to riders from
other regions with preferential entry to BC South East registered riders, in
the case that the event is full. Entry to events will be as individual event
criteria (at least Elites, 1st & 2nd categories) with individual race prizes
open as usual.
Overall ranking for the Series will be on a point’s basis for each round
towards the final overall table. There will be a minimum number of three (3)
qualifying rounds in which riders must start the event.
The overall prize presentation will take place after the last round on September
23rd.
Provisional Prize List The total prize fund will be at least £2,725, with an overall
1st place prize in the region of £500, and individual cash prizes down
to 20th place. Overall team prizes for the first three teams of three riders
scoring points will also be available. There will also be a prize for the first
Vet and first Under 23 overall in the series.
