Attention to detail

Ben is a stong competitor in the London Cyclo Cross League.

Ben writes: I am the Senior Brand Assistant at Evans Cycles, with my main responsibility being the development of Pinnacle bikes. I compete as part of the Evans Cycles Race Team both on and off road.

Bike spec

Frame – Pinnacle Team CX, 7000 series, custom butted tubing with 3k Carbon seatstays This is one of the first samples but is exactly the same as the production framesets.

Forks – Easton EC90X

Handlebars/stem – Thomson / Easton

Seat pin - Durace

Saddle – Fizik Arione

Chainset – Durace 7800

Pedals – Time Atac

Gearing – Durace 10 speed throughout. 39/46 c/rings and 13-27 on the rear, now with the 12 supplemented by a spacer next to the hub as per Brian’s S-Works, following an expensive derailuer/spokes entanglement…

Wheels/hubs – Zipp 440 with FRM rear hub

Tyres – Gommitalia tubs

Brakes – Shimano Deore DX cantis in limited edition Vauxhall Seville Orange!

My best moment on this bike was – Round 10, Lydden Hill
