Mosquito Bikes London/SE Cross League 7
Mosquito Bikes London/SE Cross League 7
Race seven of the Mosquito Bikes London/South East Cyclo Cross League promoted by VC Deal at Fowlmead Cycle Circuit, NR. Deal on November 8.
.
Seniors/Juniors/Veterans/Women
Despite the muddy conditions and cold wind we witnessed very close battles and large groups contesting the race.
Darren Barclay (Arctic RT/Premier) led team mate Matt Holmes on the opening laps before moving away with a minute in hand to win. Holmes was to be caught by leading junior Taylor Johnstone (De Ver), and later fell back and had to fight off a big effort by Andy Waterman (Dulwich Paragon) for third spot. Second placed junior Hugo Humphreys (Mosquito Bikes) continued his comeback from injury by placing well in the early stages before losing out to fellow junior Ciaran O'Grady (VC Deal).

In the veterans race Mick Bell (London Fire Brigade) and Kevin Knox (Dulwich Paragon) saw their battle settled at the line in favour of the former. The women's race was won by Corrine Hall (Corriidori).
