Just arrived in the office is the new Lightweight Jersey from Rapha was introduced for those long, hard, hot rides that many of us find ourselves on at this time of year. In fact, with the current heatwave set to continue, this could be the perfect jersey to wear when out in the saddle.
For 2009 they've incorporated some additional design features alongside some trademark Rapha design cues.
The jersey uses a merino/polyester fabric hybrid mixture, which really keeps the weight to a minimum, while also helping to wick away moisture and give an increase in comfort. Additionally a full length zip and mesh panel on the rear have been added to further help manage body temperature.
The by now very well known Rapha armband has been added to give it that traditional look, together with a host of well designed pockets that include the traditional cargo type affairs on the rear, a concealed side pocket for your valuables, and a smaller pocket on the inside of the front of the jersey for the most important rider items.
